Barrett Carter, PGA
Head Golf Professional

Barrett Carter is originally from Southeast Georgia and has called the New Orleans area home since 2009, when he graduated from the University of Georgia and moved to Louisiana with his wife, a New Orleans native.

A PGA Class A Professional, Barrett has built his career at some of the area’s premier golf facilities, including TPC Louisiana, Metairie Country Club, and most recently as Head Golf Professional at Oak Knoll Country Club in Hammond. He is passionate about growing the game through instruction and creating welcoming programs for golfers of all ages and abilities.

Barrett and his wife live in Metairie with their three daughters and are proud to call South Louisiana home.

Lesson Rates:

Adult Private Lesson (60 minutes): $125

Junior Private Lesson (60 minutes): $100

Adult Three-Lesson Package: $360

Junior Three-Lesson Package: $285

Group Lesson (60 minutes, 2–4 golfers): $125 for the first golfer, plus $50 for each additional golfer

Zaire Stevenson, PGA
Assistant Golf Professional

I’m a proud New Orleans native who loves Golf, People, and the Great Outdoors. My journey in golf began through the First Tee of Greater New Orleans, where I developed a deep passion for the game and started giving junior golf lessons at just 15 years old. I played four years of varsity golf at Brother Martin High School before continuing my education and golf career at Mississippi State University as a PGA Golf Management student and graduate.

Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience in managing a golf shop, merchandising, club repair, club fitting, and player development through lessons and coaching. My professional background includes PGA internships at top-tier facilities such as TPC Louisiana (2020), Baton Rouge Country Club (2021), Wynlakes Golf & Country Club (2023), and Colonial Country Club (2024), where I played a key role in golf operations during the Charles Schwab Challenge.

I’m passionate about growing the game, helping players of all skill levels improve, and creating memorable experiences on and off the course.

Louis Haas de Heveningham
Assistant Golf Professional
 
Born and raised in Germany, Louis Haas de Heveningham developed a passion for golf at an early age and played competitively at GC Eichenried, one of Germany’s premier golf clubs. His time there helped shape both his playing career and his passion for the game.
A few years later, Louis moved to Houston, Texas, where he became a member at The Woodlands Country Club and continued to develop his game while experiencing golf in the United States. He later attended Louisiana State University (LSU) before beginning his career in the golf industry.
Following his time at LSU, Louis spent two years at the Country Club of Louisiana, gaining valuable experience in golf operations, tournament management, instruction, and member services. He then accepted an opportunity at Bayou Oaks at City Park—an opportunity he simply couldn’t pass up.
Today, Louis serves as an Assistant Golf Professional at Bayou Oaks and is a PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) Level 1 Professional. He is passionate about growing the game of golf and helping players of all ages and skill levels improve. Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time or looking to refine your game, Louis is committed to creating a fun, welcoming environment while helping every golfer achieve their goals
 
Private Instruction
Louis offers personalized instruction for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether you’re looking to build a solid foundation, improve consistency, or take your game to the next level.
 
Lesson Rates
  • 1-Hour Private Lesson: $100
  • Lesson Package: Book 3 or more lessons at the same time and receive a discounted rate of $75 per lesson.
Group Lessons
Perfect for friends, couples, or families who want to learn together.
  • First student: $75
  • Each additional student: $50

Carl Poche, PGA Independent Instructor

Carl Poche is a lifetime member of the PGA of America after over 30 years of service. A New Orleans native, he learned to play golf at the City Park golf complex and went on to a prolific college career. He won the Louisiana Amateur championship and is a two-time Gulf States PGA champion. He was the Head Professional at Lakewood Country Club and worked with the First Tee program. He currently teaches golf at Bayou Oaks.

Stuart Lambert, PGA Independent Instructor

Stuart Lambert is a PGA of America member with over 20 years of experience in golf instruction and coaching. Based in New Orleans, Louisiana, Stuart is the founder of Lambert Golf Academy, where he focuses on player engagement and development across all skill levels. He specializes in coaching veterans, as well as beginner, intermediate, and advanced golfers, through personalized programming and instruction.

As the Lead PGA HOPE Instructor at Bayou Oaks at City Park, Stuart has successfully grown the PGA HOPE program, fostering inclusive opportunities for veterans to enjoy the game of golf.

Stuart also serves as the golf coach at Saint Martin’s Episcopal School in Metairie, Louisiana, where he mentors young athletes and instills a lifelong love for the sport. His collaborative approach includes working closely with the Gulf States PGA Section and facility stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes in player engagement and development.

Grayson Glorioso, PGA Associate

Grayson recently graduated from Southeastern Louisiana as a student athlete with degrees in General Studies and Mass Communications.

He won the Mackel Cup Golf Tournament here at Bayou Oaks and maintained outstanding academic honors throughout his time at SLU.
